Naked and Angry

As many scrappers know already there are hundreds if not thousands of beautiful patterned papers available to us. Naked & Angry has provided an opportunity to turn any of your own pattern designs into cash!

From the Naked and Angry Site;
How it works Anyone can come to Naked & Angry and submit a pattern design to be voted on by other Naked & Angry users. The design will be scored for 14 days at which time it will be given a final score. The highest scoring designs will be manufactured and products will be created inspired by the patterns. The winners will receive a $750 cash prize and 1 free Naked & Angry item.
Who created it
Naked & Angry was created by a team of web designers and developers called skinnyCorp. skinnyCorp also created the community-driven Threadless.com which invites designers to submit tee shirt designs to be scored by the Threadless community. The winning designs are printed and sold from the site. Naked & Angry is an extension of Threadless.com - one which focuses on higher quality products through the more subtle pattern approach.
What it hopes to become Naked & Angry aims to manufacture products and garments created from winning pattern designs ranging from ties to tops to pillows to belts to socks to sweaters to wallpaper. The goal is to choose five winning patterns every season to create 5-15 various items.

From what I understand you must design in either Photoshop or Illustrator to be considered. More information available and Naked and Angry's website. Good Luck!

Colored 4 You Christmas Patterns (Full Size)

Hi all, good to be back from my vacation from the deep south...boiled peanuts?! We had a really good time even though I came down with a bout of pneumonia! Thank goodness for modern medical wonder drugs as I'm rounding the corner feeling a lot better.

Today I've put up 2 new Christmas items at Busy Scrappin store. Here's the description-

For Commercial or Personal Use. Liberal Customization allowed! Ready to make a pattern paper easier? Just drop these adorably quirky Christmas colored Overlays over your own background papers. Leave them as is or recolor them by playing with your Hue/Saturation settings. You can add shapes or brushes to them, erase certain characters, and/or add a scratchy or grungy overlay. Try rotating or rescaling them for Taggers kits. Mix and match them my other Colored Overlays located in the store! Very adaptable to all your scrapping Holiday creatons!

Friendship Around The World Award

I have received this award from Annie and I'm deeply touched! Thank you very much Annie!

This award is called the "Proximidade Award" or the "Friendship Around The World Award". The award is meant to highlight blogs that are pleasing or special in some way and to extend the hand of friendship around the world.

The rules are that once you receive this award, you must pass it on to eight other blogs. So here are the ones IтАЩve chosen, which are some of the gals over at the Busy Scrappin' store.

Freebie Not So Charming Charms

Gone but not forgotten! Sorry this is expired but be on the lookout for more newer products.

Photoshop in a Browser? SUMO Paint

Before you spend any money on PSP, PSE, PS CS, and would like to try your hand at creating digital art, why not start with SUMO Paint. Sumo is one of the new "Web 2.0" web based applications. It's a very close clone to Photoshop but without the built in bloat. It's being touted as the most advanced online image editing software around and it's not just for correcting "red eye". It actually has an easy-to-learn interface and Photoshop users will love the familiarity of it. Be sure your browser is up to date with Adobe Flash as SUMO is a Flash based application, meaning it will open in your browser. I have personally tested SUMO Paint in Opera v. 9.52, Internet Explorer v. 7.0, and Firefox v. 3.03 and it worked without a hitch. Nothing to download and install and it's FREE!

Sumo's features include;
1. Shape tools
2. Layers with blending modes.
3. Brush Tool- settings for size, opacity, scatter, random rotate, and gravity.
4. Ink tool-Creates realistic ink impressions with options for "ink wetness" look.
5. Text tool
6. Eraser tool
7. Filters
8. Gradient tool
9. Gravity for Vectors-similar to Photoshops Pen tool.
10. Shape Trails-Creates ghost trails for the shape given, creating an interesting and cool effect. Shape trails are available in Rectangle, Circle, Pie, Star, Round Star and Blade Star.
11. Custom Shape Tool-The SUMO Paint custom shape tool lets you draw your own custom shapes and fills the shape when the mouse button is released.
12. Symmetry tool-allows you to draw some intricate mandala-like drawings very quickly.
13. Transform tool
14. Lasso tool
15. Smudge tool
16. Blur tool
17. Line tool
18. Curve tool
19. Zoom tool
20. Selection Modify
21. Color Picker
22. Swatches
23. Saving Images with multiple layers
24. Select Pixels
25. SUMO paint start view
26. Support for Cool Iris 3D Gallery-Browser Plugin, optional.

Having not read any tutorials prior to trying SUMO, I found the import/export feature a big surprise!

If you'd like to join the SUMO community, look under File, there's a login/register option for free membership. It's another great feature for uploading your art into your own online gallery and unlike other photo apps it doesn't have hooks into social sharing sites like Flickr and Facebook.

SUMO Paint is currently in beta, but the gold release of the web-based application is expected later in the fall. SUMO Paint is being offered by Finnish-based Snap Group Ltd.
Ready to try it? Click on this link and off you go! Have fun playing with SUMO!

Dollar Bill Comedy

My Uncle sent me this little funny and thought I'd share it since it seems to be the National pastime here in the States. I have no idea of the artist who did this, but he or she deserves a medal simply for the reason of giving us all a break from the Wall Street whoa's.

Have a look at both of the "Fields of Lavender" QP's Annie made.

Cluck Cluck

I am finding myself more and more at The Chicken Coop. It's the first place I go to find out which stores are having sales because who doesn't love a bargain? Mrs. Chicken (I apologize for not knowing her name!) makes this very convenient indeed. She has brought our community a much needed touchstone! The site is super easy to navigate and overflowing with interesting bits pertaining to the Digital Scrap community such as Challenges and Freebies.
While there be sure to leave some love in the cluck box for this amazing Listing Blog.
